Guide mode — nothing is clicked for you
It guides. It does not take over.
For the moments that interrupt your flow: an unfamiliar app, a task you have not done before, or a step you want to get right first time.

“How do I export this note as a PDF?” Ask about the app already in front of you — start with the outcome, not the menu you think you need.

Get the step, and where it lives
NativeNavi explains what to do and why it is the right next move, then a ghost cursor points at the control. Your own cursor stays where you left it.

You stay the one acting
In guide mode nothing is clicked or typed for you. Approved actions are planned — and when they arrive, they will show you the step and wait for a yes.
You choose how much help you want.
Four levels of assistance, and you pick which one is running. AI is never on by default, and nothing from your screen is shared unless you approve it.
AI guide
You turn it on and approve what it may see — a single app window, for example. AI works out what you are asking, then explains the step and points to the control.
Approved action
AI proposes one narrow, low-risk action. It runs only after you approve it, and only after NativeNavi re-checks the screen locally.
Delegated workflow
A tightly limited mode for workflows you have already approved in advance. This is not general control of your Mac.
A helpful layer, not a black box.
You decide what NativeNavi can see, and when. It shows its reasoning as it goes: what it knows, what it proposes, and when it cannot safely help.
You pick what it sees
Local guide shares nothing. AI guide sees only the window you approve, each time you approve it.
Nothing happens silently
Guide mode never clicks or types, and never moves your real cursor.

If NativeNavi is not sure, it tells you instead of guessing at your screen.

What can NativeNavi do today?+
The private beta runs on macOS 14+ and guides you through focused tasks in Finder, Notes, and Safari. You can run it as a local guide with no AI involved, or turn on AI guide for screens it has not seen before. Both explain the step and point to the control; neither acts for you.
Does it move my cursor or click for me?+
No. In guide mode NativeNavi points with a ghost cursor drawn on top of the screen — your real cursor stays exactly where you left it, and nothing is clicked or typed on your behalf. Acting for you is a separate, planned mode that will always ask first.
When is AI used?+
Only when you choose it. Local guide makes no AI request at all and sends nothing from your screen. If you switch to AI guide, you approve the context it may use — a single app window, for example — and it uses that to work out the step. AI is never on by default.
Which apps does it work with?+
The beta is deliberately narrow: Finder, Notes, and Safari. It is not a universal assistant for every Mac app, and we would rather it be reliable in a few places than vague everywhere. Coverage grows as workflows are tested.
What happens after I join the waitlist?+
We email you when there is an invitation ready for you, along with what the build can do at that point. Your address is used for beta invitations and nothing else — no advertising trackers, no sharing with other companies.
